The Ambassador Committee is the dynamic and energetic committee of the chamber.

Jul 9    Sunrise Business Alliance
One of the Chamber's successful Business by Referral groups, Sunrise Alliance meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month to provide concrete business leads. Numerous referrals have happened due to the success of the partners in this group. 

The Sunrise Alliance meets via Zoom for their morning meetings, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. We also meet for Sunset Happy Hours in certain months. Contact the Chamber at 925-837-4400 for details.

Jul 10    Danville Thursday Night Street Festival

Shop, dine, and play in Downtown Danville during Danville’s Thursday Night Street Festivals.   Hartz and Prospect Avenues are transformed into a festive, car-free environment lined with booths featuring local merchants, services and community organizations and grab a tasty meal and beverage at one of the many bistro dining areas.

The entire community is invited and encouraged to display their civic pride by shopping and dining locally and supporting our local businesses.  This festival will feature pirate-filled fun with Captain Jack Sparrow, a treasure hunt, local talent for music and entertainment, fashion show featuring Danville shops, and for the kids, a bounce-house, rock wall, and the Museum of the San Ramon Valley train will provide fun for all.

Ride your bike downtown and secure it at the bike station in the parking lot next to Starbuck’s across from the Veterans Memorial Building.

Danville is a dog-friendly town, so bring your four-legged friends along for a fun, family-oriented street party!

Jul 15    Town Proposed Plastic Bag Workshop
Proposed California State Legislation (SB270) would prohibit food stores and certain retail establishments (see attachment for descriptions) from providing single-use carryout plastic bags. As you are aware, many of our neighboring communities have already passed similar legislation. The Danville Town Council is considering a local ordinance that would coincide with the proposed state legislation to extend the ban to all retailers and public eating establishments not covered by SB270. The proposed ordinance would go in to effect in 2016. There are 2 Information Sessions left for merchants, residents and shoppers. PLEASE consider attending one of these important sessions. Jul 19    Art Exhibit Reception at Blackhawk Gallery
Alamo Danville Artists' Society will host the Opening Reception of Blackhawk Gallery's new Exhibit "Summer Splash" on Saturday July 19 from 5 to 7pm with wine, Hors d?oeuvre, and live music. The exhibit will be on view seven days a week from July 18 to September 21, Monday-Saturday 10AM-8 PM and Sunday 11AM-6 PM. The Reception and Exhibit are free and open to the public. The "Summer Splash" Exhibit features 3 guest artists and 40 member artists. Artwork by guest artists include glass art by Josh Fradis, sculptures by Elinor Herford, and mixed media and pastels drawings by Jill Tishman. Members' artworks include paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, and wearable art. The exhibit is curated by Pete DeFao, Debby Koonce, and Kerima Swain.
